BEFORE + AFTERCARE
Creating a ritual for your tattoo sessions are essential!

BEFORECARE

Make sure to hydrate your body always but definitely two weeks prior to your session.

With hydration, moisturize with either a body butter, coconut oil or a little body oil to allow skin to breathe, be hydrated and receive the love it needs.

Prior to session get plenty of rest.

And, don't forget to feed yourself with a great meal.

Adding other personal ritual elements to your session will be amazing. Have fun and make them yours.

AFTERCARE

Your tattoo will be protected with a medical adhesive bandage called Dermshield (unless you are allergic to adhesive.)

This bandage is great for tattoo healing and protects your fresh piece from outside elements.

You will keep this bandage on for 48-72 hours.

You will see plasma (blood like substance) rise in your dressing. Do not worry; this is a part of the process. And, will aid in a more efficient healing.
If you see plasma coming out of your covering; immediately wash your hands, and either:

1. Drain out the dressing by moving your hand over it above a clean sink. And, cover the open area.

2. Or, remove your wrap.

TO REMOVE WRAP

-Take a warm shower to loosen the adhesive.

-Use a non-scented anti-bacterial soap to continue loosening the wrap.

-Slowly peel back from the edges of bandage until fully removed.

AFTER, AFTERCARE

Once wrap is removed; wash the tattoo with hand, soap and water. 1-2 times daily.

Only wash with anti-bacterial, non-scented soap.

Pat dry always and moisturize with non-scented body butter, shea butter or coconut oil lightly. YOU SHOULD SEE NO SHINE IN YOUR TATTOO!

Moisturize only after you clean the area to ensure the piece of art is breathing properly.

Avoid sunlight over area and always be sure to be mindful that if tattoo is exposed to sunlight; cover it or apply sunscreen.

Never pick or scratch tattoo.

And embrace the process. Healing is usually 4-6 weeks. You will see your tattoo go through changes; this is normal. Enjoy the process and embrace the journey.
