Dear clients,
I truly love you. Without you; myself and my art wouldn't be where it is today. You are more than a mere number but true connections I will forever hold in my heart. Each experience has taught me more about my craft. Our conversations and creations were always what I needed at that particular moment. Know that just as much as I help you; you truly help me with support, friendship and healing. Thank you for trusting me with your canvas and believing in my art. It's has truly been an honor to be forever connected with you! Thank you for all that you are.
With so much love,
Charity
As my career progresses I want to take more of the attention off of me and dive deeper into the connections with my clients. Through documentation I will showcase their stories and our journies. Below is the open door to new begginings. Thank you for joining the ride.

In February of 2018, I sat down with partner and photographer; Mani Chavis to discuss an idea that was crowding my mind. I was having an urge to tell a story. When we first started filming I didn't have a clear notion of what I wanted to focus on. But, once we stepped back I realized that I really didn't want to be in front of the camera. I honestly enjoyed being behind the scenes to see all of the beauty in front of me.
Luckily Chavis is a phenomenal photographer and videographer; so despite my confusion he was able to capture some great content to move forward. In the video above I sit down with one of my favorite clients; KILLA. Don't be fooled by the name; she is an amazing spirit. I met KILLA in Atlanta where we started a massive back piece. Since then we frequently meet in New York City to connect and create on numerous projects. We have made some truly awesome pieces together with trust, communication and understanding.
During our time I am graced with her kind heart, and undeniable fashion sense. She is a mother, counselor and honestly an inspiration to me as a woman. KILLA has truly touched my heart as I'm sure she will yours.
A while back, photographer; Artemus Jenkins approached me with the proposition to intertwine fine art photography with tattoos. I'm so happy with the imagery he created from sitting down with some of my favorite ladies. From their sessions I was inspired to give more insight to the stories and women behind the pictures. Hope you enjoy!

Mecca
@wildseedwildflower
Before I met Mecca I knew her from afar. Just like my clients stalk me; best believe I stalk y'all. She was totally a unicorn. Uniquely her, fabulous as fuck and the epitome of being comfortable in your own skin. She was fashion! And, oh so fly. But, once I got to know her I realized she was so much more than that. And, now I am truly honored to call her my friend...
"My first tattoo with you will always be my most memorable of all the work we’ve done together. You covered up my abusive ex-boyfriend's birthday with something so beautiful and unexpected. It’s the one tattoo where I can truly say “I zoned out.” I actually CRIED when you finished and I saw it in the mirror!!! From that moment I feel like we created our chemistry and it’s been beautiful ever since. I love all my 'Cake' pieces. There is a very special bond between yourself and your tattoo artist. I believe it shows in the work you create together. I appreciate how I can give you a thought and you always get it right.....My ink has definitely represented different times in my life. Shifts. It has been very therapeutic for me in so many ways and I’m excited to see where the journey and friendship goes.."

Tae
@balanceandblow
We met through a lovely mutual friend and have never looked back! She was so funny and a true light in my world. Our journey started with a piece on her thigh and grew into something truly more colorful. From statement pieces to laughs and giggles; we truly have witnessed one another's growth.
"My name is Tae Walker and I'm originally from Thomaston, Ga. I'm the Creator of Balance and Blow which is a body positive lifestyle centered around yoga and self love. I moved to Atlanta in 2013 and was in search of a new tattoo artist. My bestfriend introduced me to Cake and it was history. I got my first tattoo when I was in high school and I have been addicted every since. I feel that tattoos give me the ability to be a walking work of art and express who I am without words. Every time I am tattooed, there are nothing but good vibes and AMAZING pieces. I'm so glad I made a lifetime connection! Cake is a true artist and I'm honored to be one of her canvases!"

Once upon a time I met this really pretty flower by the name of Bobbi. We created an awesome piece but it grew into so much more like the garden on her arm. Every time we connect I am greeted with a warming smile and spirit as we create something more interesting than our last piece. Thank you for believing in me and challenging my artistry. Know that I too believe in your craft just as much and it's been a delight to witness your growth.
"My name is Bobbi.Georgia born, I grew up in small town Musella, Georgia. I´m a 27 year old artist, mother, and innovator living in Atlanta.
I love being tattooed because of the intimacy and the process behind it. I often meditate and take the day off before each tattoo session these days. For me, It is a time for reflection and insight. As a creative, this is one of the ultimate ways to connect with other creatives.
I appreciate being Charity´s client because she always tattoos with affection and serenity. When deciding to choose Charity as my artist it was crystal clear. At that point in my life, a female tattoo artist, living in the south, and had my features did not exist yet. Its relevant, valid, and it matters. I chose to support and will always support her. Forever a client and friend."
